Amberd & Lake Kari Day Tour
On this day, you’ll start the trip by visiting the 7th century medieval fortress Amberd, which is located on the slopes of Mount Aragats. The site had been inhabited by the Urartians in the ancient times, but the medieval fortress was constructed as a defense against invading Arab armies in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.
Next, visit lake Kari, located on the slopes of Mount Aragats. Most of its water comes from ice and snow. It is located 3,185 m above the sea level. Return to Yerevan at the end of the day tour.
