Sevan, Noratus & Hayravank Monastery Day Tour
Start this day by visiting the blue Pearl of Armenia – Lake Sevan, recognized as a national treasure in the country. It is the largest lake of the Caucasus and Armenia, at an altitude of 1900 m above sea level. At the shore of a small island visit the Monastery complex of Sevanavank.
After the water level fell about 20m, the island transformed into a peninsula. You can take your lunch there. Next stop is Noratus, which is the most famous cemetery in Armenia. Its oldest part includes over 800 khachkars (stone crosses), carved between the 9th-17th centuries. In the high season, you will have the chance to take a cheese preparation master class in this village. And after the visit to Hayravank Monastery we will return to Yerevan at the end of the day tour.
