Today we will visit the city of Tsaghkadzor, located 50 km far from Yerevan. The main part of the city is expanded on the eastern slope of Mount Teghenis. Tsaghkadzor is one of the leading tourism centers of the country. It is literally translated as “the valley of flowers” and associated with the name of Tsaghkuniats Mountains.

Today, Tsaghkadzor is a city with new-built streets, gorgeous night lightings, modern hotels and rest-houses. It is charming both in summer and winter. One of the most important attractions of the city is the Ropeway located on a slope of Mount Teghenis. There are also 30 km long ski tracks. In winter, thousands of winter sports fans prefer to spend their vacation in the Resort of Tsaghkadzor.

Afterwards, we will continue our trip to the blue Pearl of Armenia – Lake Sevan, recognized as a national treasure in the country. It is the largest lake of the Caucasus and Armenia, at an altitude of 1900 m above sea level. At the shore of a small island visit the Monastery complex of Sevanavank. After the water level fell about 20 m, the island transformed into a peninsula. You can take your lunch there. Next stop is the Armenian Switzerland, known as Dilijan. It is one of the most important resorts in Armenia.

You’ll have a little city tour in the old town of Dilijan which includes Sharambeyan street in the center and visit the craftsman’s workshops, galleries and museums. Next, visit the two monastery complexes from the 13th century, Haghartsin and Goshavank, recently restored by a Muslim Sheikh from the United Arab Emirates. The monastery is easily accessible through paved roads and has a large parking area, a gift shop, bakery, and other facilities. Return to Yerevan at the end of the day tour.
