Etchmiadzin Cathedral and Museum
The Cathedral of Etchmiatsin was built in the early 4th century by St. Gregory the Illuminator and King Tiridates, following to the adoption of Christianity as the state religion of Armenia. The Cathedral is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Cathedral Museum was built in 1869 and houses historical religious artifacts and sacred relics.
