Day 1 – Arrival & Yerevan Walking City Tour

Arrive at Zvartnots International Airport and meet your Santa Maria Tours representative for transfer to your hotel. Begin a guided walking tour of Yerevan, one of the world’s oldest capitals, founded in 782 BC. Stroll through historic streets like Abovyan Street, see the grand Opera and Ballet Theatre, and admire eclectic architecture from the early 20th century, Soviet classicism, and modern designs.

Day 2 – Sevan Peninsula, Dilijan & Haghartsin

Duration: 7–8 hours | Distance: 160 km | Meals: Breakfast

Travel to the “Blue Pearl of Armenia,” Lake Sevan, at 1,900 meters above sea level. Visit the hilltop Sevanavank Monastery and enjoy panoramic views of the lake. Continue to Dilijan, a charming town surrounded by the lush Dilijan National Park, home to protected flora and fauna. Take a short walk through the town and explore its cozy streets.

Stop at the Red Deer Breeding Center, opened in 2017 with support from WWF and CNF, to learn about conservation efforts and see these magnificent animals up close. Conclude the day at the 13th-century Haghartsin Monastery, fully restored in 2011, and learn its fascinating history.
